The losses that built this
I was trading Indian indices for years before I understood why I kept losing. I had the patterns, the entry criteria, the levels marked. On paper, the setups looked right. But the moment I entered a trade, something shifted. Stop losses moved. Positions doubled in revenge. Wins got booked too early and losses ran far too long.
I was a technically competent trader with a psychologically undisciplined mind. The strategy was never the variable. The mind was.
After years of work on both the price action side (eventually building a complete SMC-based framework) and the psychology side (documenting every bias and pattern I kept falling into), I had something worth sharing. Not a magic system. A complete framework: the market structure to read, the risk math to size positions, and the psychology work to actually follow the plan.
Why the NISM certification matters
I pursued the NISM Research Analyst certification because I wanted to offer the Technical Research Analysis service in a formally credentialled way, not because a certificate makes trading advice better. It does not. But it does create a formal accountability framework, and that is worth having.
